Extensive range of butterfly valves
Extensive range of butterfly valves
A butterfly valve is a shut-off valve with a relatively simple construction. In closed position, the disc blocks the valve bore while in open position, the disc is turned to allow flow. A quarter turn takes the valve from fully open to fully closed position, or opposite, and thus the butterfly valve allows for quick opening and closure.
AVK offers one of the widest ranges of butterfly valves at the market that includes centric butterfly valves with fixed liner, loose liner and rubber lined disc, double eccentric butterfly valves as well as triple eccentric butterfly valves, which can be used for a broad range of applications within water supply, wastewater treatment, fire protection and gas supply, in the chemical and oil industries, power generation etc.. And of course, we offer a wide variety of material configurations for each of these types as well as any type of actuation. This means that we most probably can supply the right valve for your application.
AVK has been in the valve business for almost 50 years. From the 90s we started offering butterfly valves from Wouter Witzel, a well-esteemed manufacturer of centric fixed liner butterfly valves founded in 1966 in the Netherlands and since 2005 a member of the AVK Group. The same year we introduced a brand new range of AVK double eccentric butterfly valves, and in 2010 InterApp Armaturen Holding AG became part of the AVK Group. InterApp was founded in 1969 and is a well reputed manufacturer of centric loose liner butterfly valves produced in Switzerland and Spain.
As the latest developments AVK has added triple off-set butterfly valves for industrial applications as well as grooved end butterfly valves for fire protection applications to the range.
Fixed liner butterfly valves can be used under vacuum conditions as there is no movement and wear of the liner. Furthermore, the fixed liner valve is suitable for high flow velocities and high operating cycles e.g. open/close every few seconds. Fixed liner butterfly valves are typically used above ground, but the double flanged types are also suitable for below ground installations. Available for water, wastewater, gas, fire protection and industry applications. Read more about centric butterfly valves with fixed liner
Centric butterfly valve with loose liner
Loose liner butterfly valves are typically a cost-effective solution for applications above ground where replacement and maintenance is relatively easy. The liner is replaceable without a full replacement of the valve and the design gives more options for different liner materials. Available for water, wastewater and industry applications. Double eccentric butterfly valve
Double eccentric butterfly valves are most often used in water and wastewater applications below ground as an alternative to gate valves. When installing butterfly valves below ground a lower bury depth is required and typically they are more cost-effective, especially in the large dimensions, compared to gate valves. They can of course also be used above ground. Read more about double eccentric butterfly valves
Triple-offset butterfly valve
Triple-offset butterfly valves are made of high grade materials making them suitable for use in high demand applications where extraordinary corrosion and heat resistance is required. Suitable for industrial applications.
